So sorry you suffered so many losses last year. But I'm glad to see you back and can't wait to see what you'll draw next. I know you'll be hurting for a little bit but the incision will mend...I know, I just had a C section Dec. 28 and went on my first horseback ride after being pregnant 3 weeks after the surgery. Welcome back!

Awe thank you, Oh my god you rode after that surgery? It is so painful and I for the life of me do not understand how all of you c section girls can handle surgery and taking care of a new born? Wow I think highly of you. Also, congrats on the new addition and I love horses but I do not feel like I could ride one right now. lol I was raised with horses and do miss them though.

Well, the first few days after the surgery were pure hell if I had to move (which they really incourage you to do asap). Trying to sit on the potty or get out of bed HURT, even with drugs to help with the pain. And trying to put undies and pants on was not an easy task since bending over wasn't much of an option. But each day got better and I quit taking the narcotic they perscribed me about 5 days after the C section and by the end of the week I had stopped taking motrin 600 as well. It was still very sore but not horrible by then. Even though moving feels horrid I would definitely recomend moving around as much as possible and doing things as normal as you can (minus the exercise or anything strenuous). I not only had the newborn to take care of but my 3 yr. old as well. So there wasn't much choice but to move a bit. But it really does help make it heal faster I think.

But when I did take my first ride I only walked. No trotting or cantering. And I had my Dr.s ok on that at my 2 week visit (he has horses as well).

Hope you heal fast and get to feeling normal again.

I am alergic to alot of narcotics so I am just taking tylenol w/ codine and it helps but it does not ease the pain like a real pain pill would. I agree alot of moving does help because with me it is getting up in the morning that really hurts.
yes having a three year old would cause you to get up move lol. Oh I have a live in bf who is just like having a 3 yr old sometimes lol. So I do get up to serve him alot. lol
I am feeling alot better though. I am going to go over and look at what you have done since I have been done. see you there.

Sorry to hear you can't take the heavier stuff. But at least as the pain gets better the Tylenol will start to work more. I'm actually allergic to Tylenol! Funny, that. Well, your "3 yr. old" sounds heavier to move about than mine. Good luck with him!

Aww Judy, I had no idea all that you have been through! I wished I lived close by because I would be there to help you, my sister had a hyst. and a colon resection at the same time, I took care of her for a month..she was in a lot of pain. Try to not do anything that will cause stress to your body, relax and sleep. Oh and draw!! I want to see new work from you....and thank you for sweet words about me and my art, you are so kind

Awe your poor sister and lucky to have you nurse her back to health. I would love if you came over even if I was not healing. lol
Guess what, I finally drew Sonny & Cher while I am resting and that is thanks to you. I still have the inspiration to draw too.
