Hi Everyone,
Sorry but alot has happened in 2007 for me. I went through a severe artist block (besides loosing my kitty) and 4 deaths in the family, medical complications. Right now I am recovering from a surgery which was Feb 08, 08 and I am not allowed to do much. Sent to rest most of the day, I have two cats laying here with me and my laptop to keep me company.

So thought I would look in on my old haunts, deviantart being one of them, I slowly saw a glimpse of a inspiration to draw again. Until I saw my friends site imaginee,

She has made quite a few wonderful tutorials that show alot of her technique. If that could not make me want to draw, nothing could.
I am happy to say, I picked up a 3b and started to sketch again and even have a subject in mind to start to drawing. I may be posting the wip soon but for now I am just practicing a little to get back into it.
Below is one of her wonderful tutorials, go look, you will amazed. Also her rendering of Marilyn Monroe is so beautiful.

Anyways, glad to see everyone is still producing beautiful work and hope you have a wonderful 2008.
Hugs,
Judy

Well, the first few days after the surgery were pure hell if I had to move (which they really incourage you to do asap). Trying to sit on the potty or get out of bed HURT, even with drugs to help with the pain. And trying to put undies and pants on was not an easy task since bending over wasn't much of an option. But each day got better and I quit taking the narcotic they perscribed me about 5 days after the C section and by the end of the week I had stopped taking motrin 600 as well. It was still very sore but not horrible by then. Even though moving feels horrid I would definitely recomend moving around as much as possible and doing things as normal as you can (minus the exercise or anything strenuous). I not only had the newborn to take care of but my 3 yr. old as well. So there wasn't much choice but to move a bit. But it really does help make it heal faster I think.
But when I did take my first ride I only walked. No trotting or cantering. And I had my Dr.s ok on that at my 2 week visit (he has horses as well).
Hope you heal fast and get to feeling normal again.
yes having a three year old would cause you to get up move lol. Oh I have a live in bf who is just like having a 3 yr old sometimes lol. So I do get up to serve him alot. lol
I am feeling alot better though. I am going to go over and look at what you have done since I have been done.

Lots of practice and taking it slow are key for a work of art... never ever rush a drawing because it will look it!
Guess what, I finally drew Sonny & Cher while I am resting and that is thanks to you. I still have the inspiration to draw too.
So you will see more work from me.
